Elon Musk has mentioned Dogecoin on Twitter again

Elon Musk tweeted about Dogecoin again.

In the past, I had already been involved in a joke exchange about this cryptocurrency born for fun, and once again reiterated his interest in it, with a very playful tweet.

In fact, he first published a picture of a dog looking at a birthday cake with a 3-shaped candle and an inscription that says "I don't even know what the numbers are" and then added:

«They have the best currency».

The tweet is based on a meme that has existed for several years, of which the dog's photo is just another variation, and it's about the fact that dogs are often represented in poses that suggest they are doing something specific, when In fact, they are often not doing anything special.

After sharing the image that portrays a dog that, compared to what looks like a cake for his birthday, seems to say that he doesn't even know which one is in front of him, Musk ironically adds that dogs even have their own cryptocurrency, The best of all.

The reference to Dogecoin is not explicit, but it is clear, especially since Dogecoin was born as a joke, and although to date it is still among the top 40 cryptocurrencies for market capitalization, it has lost much of its historical peak.

In fact, from approximately $ 0.01 at the beginning of 2018, it is now worth a little more than $ 0.002, which is 80% less. As an example, Bitcoin is now worth approximately 50% less than its historical peak.

Another user later shared Musk's tweet and added:

“Everything Elon Musk has done has been successful. He never made a mistake of intuition. All his ideas were successful. He is the king and his words become laws. CZ, I want to pump this coin like never before, but I want margin trading for Dogecoin (Doge BTC, not USDT) ».

It is clear that Dogecoin is capable of generating laughter and that the project is not being taken so seriously. However, at the technical level, it continues to work and be used, although mainly as a speculative asset.

It is worth noting that Elon Musk must have been impressed in some way by this project to mention it in a tweet that had nothing to do with cryptocurrencies.
