Know what the participation test (PoS) is and what are the 8 platforms that use it.
In the stock market, you can obtain passive income with dividends. Dividends are defined as payments, generally in cash, made by a company to its shareholders, that is, who has shares in the company on the stock exchange. In the cryptocurrency market, there are also ways to earn passive income.
What is the participation test?
Participation test (PoS, or Participation test) is the consensus algorithm of a network, which uses a pseudorandom choice process to select a node to be the validator of the next block, based on a combination of factors that may include age of participation, randomization and node richness. Transaction fees are generally used as a reward.
What is the difference between Proof of Participation and Proof of Work?
It is good to note that, in the Participation Test systems, the blocks are "built" and not mined. Cryptocurrencies using the Work Test (POW, or work test) usually start selling pre-drawn cryptocurrencies or start with the Work Algorithm Test and then go by Participation test.
In Proof of Work systems, more and more cryptocurrencies are created as rewards for miners, while in the Proof of Participation system, transaction fees are generally used as rewards.
